Terms of Service
Last updated: July 17, 2026
The short version: the service receives email and then destroys it on schedule. Use it lawfully, don't abuse it, and never rely on a temporary address for anything you need to keep.

1. Agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Mail Vanish ("we", "us") covering the temporary and private email service at mail-vanish.com. By using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
2. What the service is
Mail Vanish provides receive-only email inboxes. Free temporary addresses work without an account and have no expiry timer: an address keeps working while its domain is active, an address that receives no new mail for 7 days is deleted, even one saved to a free account, its messages are deleted automatically 24 hours after they arrive and an address nobody opens for 30 days is removed unless it is saved to an account. The separate 10 minute mail inbox expires automatically (10 minutes by default, extendable a limited number of times). When an address expires, is retired or is burned, the address and every message in it are permanently destroyed on a short schedule. Paid "Private Emails" plans add permanent addresses on premium domains with PIN protection, verified forwarding, and per-plan message retention. No Mail Vanish inbox can send email.
3. Deletion is a feature, not a fault
Scheduled deletion of mail and mailboxes is the core of the product. You must not use a temporary address for any account, service, or correspondence you may need to access or recover later. We are not liable for messages that were destroyed by expiry, by automatic message deletion, by inactivity cleanup, by history limits, by your own delete actions, or by retention pruning on paid plans - that destruction is the documented behavior of the service.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use Mail Vanish: for any unlawful purpose; to receive material that is illegal to possess; to harass, defraud, or impersonate others; to evade court orders or sanctions; to circumvent bans where doing so is unlawful or breaches another service's rights in a way that exposes us to liability; or to probe, overload, scrape at scale, or disrupt the service. Custom prefixes that impersonate infrastructure or staff roles (admin, billing, security, and similar) are reserved and rejected.
We enforce this with rate limits, anti-abuse blocklists, attachment restrictions, and - where necessary - banning mailboxes or accounts. We may refuse mail from senders and networks that abuse the service.
5. Accounts
Paid plans require an account. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication in the dashboard. You must provide a working email address for account notices.
6. Paid plans, billing and cancellation
Paid plans are billed in advance per billing period at the price shown at checkout. Card subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Cryptocurrency payments activate exactly one billing period and do not auto-renew - renewing means making another payment before the period ends. You can cancel at any time from the dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and your plan stays fully active until then. When a paid period ends without renewal, the account downgrades to the free tier and plan-gated features stop working. Refunds are provided where required by law; otherwise fees are non-refundable.
7. Changes to the service
We may change domains in the public pool, adjust free-tier limits (such as inbox lifetime or attachment size), and evolve features. Material reductions to what a paid plan includes will be announced to account holders in advance.
8. Intellectual property
The service, its design, and the Mail Vanish name and logo are ours. Messages received into your inboxes are yours (or their senders'); you grant us only the limited license needed to store, process, sanitize, display, forward, and ultimately delete them in order to operate the service.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Email is a best-effort medium: we do not guarantee that any particular message will be delivered, accepted by a third-party form, or available at any particular moment, nor do we guarantee uninterrupted operation. Sanitization and tracker blocking reduce risk but cannot make hostile email harmless in every case.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose (or $10 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Termination
You can stop using the free service at any time - burn your address to delete it and its mail at once - and can delete your account from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or to protect the service, its users, or third parties from abuse; where reasonable, we will warn account holders first.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this page with its "last updated" date. Material changes affecting account holders will be announced by email before they take effect. Continued use after a change takes effect is acceptance of the updated terms.
